Historical Tour

The historical tour through the old town of Roth combines a number of testimonies of past eras. It leads to half-timbered houses such as the extraordinary Riffelmacherhaus on the market square, through picturesque alleys, to fountains, monuments and last but not least to Ratibor Castle.

A stroll through the history of the town is possible virtually, but also by means of a brochure, which is available on site at the Tourist Information Office in Ratibor Castle.

Rothsee

Roth Lake

The Rothsee (lake) is a fascinating holiday and leisure landscape that was originally developed as a water management project together with the Brombach lake and Altmühl lake. The lake has a lot to offer: For sailors and surfers, the main barrier of the Rothsee with the sailing harbour is the ideal spot. Various beaches in Birkach, Heuberg and Grashof with modern infrastructure and gastronomy guarantee bathing fun for the whole family. And on the generously developed hiking and cycling paths, country holidaymakers can discover the entire lake region. Sufficiently guarded parking spaces, but also an optimal connection to the public transport network as well as numerous refreshment facilities at the beach restaurants and the surrounding inns round off the stay at the lake.
