The journey back in time works out in a special kind of way in the castle and palace hotels along the route. All of them have raised the clear orientation to the guest to their guiding principle, no matter whether they present themselves chivalrously coarse or opulently baroque. Especially weddings and other family celebrations are in good hands in the cosy atmosphere of the historic walls - where once kings have been guests, today the guest is king.
High above the Neckar Valley, surrounded by vineyards, Hornberg Castle rises as a proud knight's castle from the 11th century, which once had been owned by Götz von Berlichingen, known as the knight with the iron hand.
