The journey back in time works out in a special kind of way in the castle and palace hotels along the route. All of them have raised the clear orientation to the guest to their guiding principle, no matter whether they present themselves chivalrously coarse or opulently baroque. Especially weddings and other family celebrations are in good hands in the cosy atmosphere of the historic walls - where once kings have been guests, today the guest is king.
With the sgraffito painting on its façade showing the history of Eberbach, the "Karpfen" is one of the buildings that characterise the image of the old town. Located at the Alter Markt in the heart of the city, it has been in the family for more than 200 years. This is just as noticeable in the careful treatment of the building as it is in the personal service.
In the stylish restaurant "Karpfen", attention to detail is not only paid to the furnishings, but also to the cuisine with regional and seasonal dishes, which you can enjoy in summer on the summer terrace on the old market square.
Or celebrate a special occasion in one of the guest rooms, where the excellent kitchen team conjures up delicious dishes for you.
The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The stylish castle hotel high above the Neckar valley offers 26 double rooms, four single rooms and one junior suite. The rooms in the outer bailey above the stables, now the castle restaurant, offer a classic castle ambience and some have a view over the Neckar valley.
The main hotel building is located in the former sheepfold. Here, dark wood is combined with elegant fabrics in the rooms, which have a balcony with a view of the forest.
Further, brightly designed rooms are located in the former winegrowers' house. There, hotel or wedding guests can also use a playroom for their children, which is close to the rooms for celebrations.
Hornberg Castle sits enthroned high above the Neckar valley, surrounded by vineyards. The exquisite cuisine promises a variety of culinary experiences: Baden-Swabian culinary delights associated with the region are presented as well as international delights.
The most prominent lord of the castle on the Hornberg was the knight Götz von Berlichingen. A copy of his iron hand can be seen in the castle restaurant.
Hochhausen Castle is situated above the small village of Hochhausen, away from heavy traffic in the most beautiful part of the Neckar valley between Heidelberg and Bad Wimpfen. An extensive natural park with old trees surrounds this island of tranquillity.
The current owners, Monique and Dieter von Helmstatt, are happy to share the charm of this family estate with their guests. Hospitality has always been part of the tradition of the house, and today a part of the castle is still open to guests seeking seclusion and a refined atmosphere in private surroundings.
The guest rooms, furnished with antique family furniture, are equipped with modern comforts. Guests can also use the spacious lounges and the terrace to enjoy a break from everyday life.

Vito and his team combine German and Mediterranean cuisine passionately and coherently and pay attention to detail.
And the Bar & Lounge also invites you to linger. While you can enjoy a cup of coffee during the day, the barman conjures up classic and special cocktails in the evening.
Sunday is a day of rest
