'Knight's playground'

Charmingly situated by the city wall and the Eschenbach stream, the adventure playground offers several attractions: A 30-metre-long cable car, a battering ram swing, a castle with a suspension bridge and many other wooden structures in knightly style. The playground is idyllically situated along the Eschenbach stream. Seating areas also invite visitors to picnic or simply linger at this extraordinary facility in the Northern Ring Road.

Wolframs-Eschenbach: Kinderstadtführung

On the children’s tours in Wolframs-Eschenbach, young explorers can discover the medieval town in an exciting and playful way. Together, they wander through the historic alleyways, past ancient city walls, towers and mysterious spots. Along the way, the children learn lots of interesting facts about knights, the Teutonic Order and the famous poet Wolfram von Eschenbach.

A special highlight: during the tour, every child is given a wooden sword and a wooden shield, allowing them to feel like a real knight. Historical knight’s weapons are also on display, and the children are even allowed to touch them.

After the city tour, the knights’ playground awaits the little knights and damsels with a battering ram swing, a 30-metre-long zip line and lots of other medieval play equipment. This turns the tour into a real adventure for the whole family.
