Colmberg Castle impresses already from a distance with its massive walls, which provide for a film scenery. The furnishing of the 31 rooms varies from hand-carved historical beds to four-poster beds and modern interiors. What they all have in common is the incomparable view of the Franconian countryside or the idyllic castle courtyard. The light-flooded winter garden, the restaurant "Zur Remise" or the cosy fireplace hall invite you to enjoy the down-to-earth castle kitchen. Game dishes such as roe deer shovel, game salami or venison pâté occupy a special place on the menu. The strong dark beer "Schwarzer Ritter" is served exclusively at the castle. Wine lovers can enjoy the castle lord's drink in white or red. A "Tin Lizzy" built in 1917 makes the hearts of vintage car fans beat faster and shows that the senior boss shares their passion.
The "Alte Vogtei", former official residence of the German Order of Knights, shines brightly in a new splendor. The listed building pleases its guests with lovingly and stylishly refurbished rooms. In ancient walls modern and elegant hotel rooms await the guests. The "Badstub'n" in the basement invites to relax with its sauna and generous recreation area.
The restaurant spoils its guests with the "World-Franconian" cuisine. For conferences and celebrations various historic rooms equipped with modern conference technology can be rented for 12 to 120 persons.
