Night watchman tours in Eberbach
In a illustrative and humorous way, the night watchman informs you about the past of Eberbach during this city walk. Accompany the night watchman on his tour through the romantic old town. Wearing a historical uniform with lantern and halberd, he will tell you the interesting history of the town and you will learn about the most beautiful sights of Eberbach. The walk through the nocturnal alleys, past the historic buildings of the picturesque town center, together with a "real" Eberbacher, is an unforgettable experience for everyone!

Wild garlic days Eberbach
When in March and April, right on time as every spring, the striking wild herb sprouts from the ground everywhere, it is not surprising that many restaurants and inns in Eberbach not only reserve a place for it on the menu, but even dedicate a culinary programme to wild garlic.
If you would like to collect wild garlic yourself, you have the opportunity to do so on a free guided tour of the wild garlic stands in Eberbach.

Guided tour: city, countryside, river
Eberbach has a unique geographical and geological location on the Neckar. At Neckarlauer, participants learn interesting facts about the river and valley history of the Neckar and the river reversal. Furthermore, they see the floodplain landscape, five circular hills, and the diversion of the Itter by the Urneckar. The tour will present the entire course of the Neckar River in the Neckar Valley from Neckarelz to Heidelberg and the surrounding area in a block diagram during a visit to the nature park center.

Eberbach hikes
The city of Eberbach offers guided hikes with hiking guide Dr. Susanna Büchner. Different route lengths between 3.5 h and 6 h (10 to 20 km) are offered. A tour up to 3.5 hours costs €5 per person, a tour from 4 hours costs €10 per person, possibly with train or bus travel added.

Guided tour: raftsmen, boatmen, shipping
For a long time, rafting, towage and shipping on the Neckar were an important economic factor. On this tour participants will learn a lot about the development of shipping with all stages of development from towage to motor ships. A visit to the city museum also shows the different types of ships that sailed on the Neckar. This walk is rounded off by a visit to art objects that deal with the above-mentioned themes.

Eberbach Spring Festival
On the weekend after Ascension Day – May 15 to May 17, 2026 – the traditional Old Town Festival attracts numerous visitors to Eberbach: the Eberbach Spring. The city festival offers many activities for young and old and a rich selection of musical contributions from folk music to rock/pop/jazz on the various squares of the Old Town. Numerous club stands and showmen give the Eberbach Spring its own flair, which invites you to linger. The diverse program points are aimed at all age groups, from children's fun to evening open-air music events.

Guided Tour: Stauferstadt Eberbach
A leisurely walk around and through the historic old town shows the life of the inhabitants in the Middle Ages. The focus of the tour is on the Staufer and their time: city foundations, noble family, and the Staufer Empire. But the historical sites also show the urban functions of living, working, trade, and transportation in the Middle Ages.

Cuckoo Market Eberbach
The large folk festival in the Neckar Valley will last from August 28 to September 1, 2026. With its many exhibitors and vendors, it will once again be a magnet for many visitors from near and far. Young and old, large and small, there is something for everyone. Cuckoo Market Tuesday begins with one of the most unusual program points: Starting at 9:30, farmers from the surrounding area meet to evaluate their cattle at the Fleckvieh cattle show and have the best cattle recognized. In addition to the cattle, the Eberbach Medicinal Herb Garden, opposite the cattle enclosure, also invites visitors to come and see it. A mixture of aromatic scents and, depending on the season, a more or less colorful abundance of flowers can be admired there.

Eberbach Apple Day
The Eberbach Apple Day on Sunday, the 18th. October 2026 is sure to provide fun and entertainment with its extensive program. A stroll through Eberbach's downtown area has a lot to offer. Apple-themed offers and musical treats from live bands. Of course, there are many variations of apples: fresh apple cider, crunchy apples, and delicious apple pie. Experience Eberbach: the charming old town, interesting museums, cozy pubs, nice cafes and restaurants, a wide selection and personal advice in the Eberbach shops. They are open on Sundays from 12:30 to 17:30 for information, browsing, and shopping.
