Abbey Church St. Peter and Paul
With its two widely visible towers, the bell tower and the trumpet tower, the late Gothic three-aisled hall church characterises the cityscape of Oehringen. It was built from 1454 until 1497. Especially worth seeing are the elaborately carved high altar made of lime wood, the cloister and also the crypt. Here are the sarcophagus of countess Adelheid, the mother of the Staufer emperor Konrad III. and foundress of the canon monastery (1037), and also the burial ground of the house of Hohenlohe-Oehringen, which is used to the present day.

The garden was created in remembrance of countess Anna Magdalene, who has gained famousness in the field of healing herbology. It takes a look back to a time of healing without chemistry, shows possibilities of alternative natural healing methods and gives tips for the use of fresh herbs. The garden is freely accessible.

World Heritage Site Limes
The Upper Germanic Limes ran along what is today the eastern edge of the core city. In the period from around 150 to 260 AD, Öhringen was one of the most important troop sites on the outer Limes, with two forts and a large civil settlement. In the west of Öhringen, on the edge of the Cappelaue Landscape Park, the "Limes Blick" viewing platform and the monumental, colourful Limes Gate are worth a visit. Further information
