Kirchberg: Aktionswanderweg für Familien
The circular hiking trail leads along the Jagst river from Kirchberg to Eichenau and back on the opposite side. Nature-oriented stations with activities for young and old, puzzles on the theme of ‘nature and home’ and much more, which playfully promote motor skills, senses and knowledge, so that children and adults can enjoy, understand and experience nature. The path is extended a little further each year.
You can start and finish wherever you like, but you should stick to the specified direction. Recommended starting points are the overview board at the leisure centre in Kirchberg, the TSG sports field in Kirchberg and the Jagst bridge in Eichenau. The trail is signposted with white boards marked ‘Aktionswanderweg’ (activity trail) and wooden signs with quiz questions at the individual stations.
Equipment:
Sturdy footwear is essential. Half of the trail is a narrow footpath, which is slippery when wet and therefore unsuitable for pushchairs.
Safety information:
You should be sure-footed. There may be scree, branches and fallen tree trunks, and there is a risk of ticks.
Parking:
Near the information boards: sports field, Medizinalrats Klinge or Eichenau bridge.
