It is a masterpiece of church architecture and one of the most important churches in southern Germany. The cloister is described by the Baden Württemberg Monument Foundation as "a pioneering ensemble of Neckar-Swabian Gothic architecture" and is considered one of the most beautiful and best preserved in the state.
The current building dates back to the 10th century (Romanesque westwork) and the 13th century (Gothic nave and choir).

Red Tower
The Red Tower is the eastern keep of the Hohenstaufen imperial palace, built around 1200. As the last refuge of the lord of the castle, it is particularly lavishly furnished, including a Romanesque fireplace and lavatory. With a new exhibition concept, it presents itself as a Hohenstaufen defense tower with the corresponding furnishings and didactically prepared background knowledge from the time around 1200.

Blue Tower
The Blue Tower is the town's landmark. It was built around 1170 as the western keep of the royal palace and served the former imperial city of Wimpfen as a high watchtower. The name comes from its bluish shimmering slate roof. It specifically houses an apartment for the tower keeper, which is still used today. Thus Bad Wimpfen today has the oldest uninterrupted turret tradition in Germany. The 58-meter-high tower is open to visitors and offers a magnificent view of the Neckar Valley.
