Ponyabenteuer Festung Rosenberg

The Tourism and Events Department is delighted to be able to offer you, in collaboration with Caroline and Robert Bayerkuhnleivon from Wustung (Föritztal), pony rides on Shetland ponies at Rosenberg Fortress for the very first time. After you’ve had a chance to get to know the ponies in the Middle Moat – where you’ll be able to stroke, groom and saddle them – you’ll set off on a varied ride that you’re guaranteed never to forget. From the Outer Moat, with its imposing walls, the route takes you into the beautiful fortress forest with its large, shady beech trees. In harmony with nature, you’ll spend an unforgettable afternoon on four little hooves that pack a punch!

Kronach: "Küche, Duft und Heimlichkeit": Kinder-Festungsführung

‘Kitchen, Smells and Secrets’ explores the themes of food and hygiene in general, but also life at the fortress in particular. The tour takes visitors to areas of the fortress complex that are not otherwise open to the public. During the tour, the children will also explore the fortress’s underground passages.

Please wear weatherproof clothing and sturdy footwear. Please also bring a torch. Recommended for children aged 6 and over – children must be accompanied by at least one adult.

The tour takes place from April to October every Saturday at 1.00 pm. Duration: 60 minutes.
