The Easter market, also known as the "Häferlesmarkt" on Nuremberg's main market square, is the oldest market in the city and a typical goods/grocer's market: around 100 stalls sell crockery, household goods, textiles, everyday items, as well as arts and crafts from Germany and abroad and, of course, Easter items, so if you're looking for inspiration for a pretty new Easter decoration, this is definitely the place to come and you're guaranteed to find what you're looking for.
The market is open daily from 10 am to 7 pm. It is closed on Good Friday.

Every year since 2000, around 120,000 people have enjoyed the concerts of the Nuremberg orchestras at the picnic in Luitpoldhain. Thanks to many supporters, admission will remain free in 2025. On July 27, Roland Böer conducts the Nuremberg State Philharmonic Orchestra in two concerts. Two weeks later, on August 9, the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra under Jonathan Darlington will present a concert entitled “Nuremberg greets the wide world”.

NUEJAZZ is a modern jazz festival in Nuremberg that has been bringing international artists to the stage since 2013. It sees jazz as an open, creative form of expression that is constantly evolving. Electronic sounds, hip-hop rhythms and experimental elements are an integral part of the program. Every year, when the Nuremberg Christmas Market opens, a small village of wooden huts springs up between the meat market stalls, surrounding the world's largest Feuerzangenbowle (a traditional mulled wine punch). It is a romantic spot overlooking the River Pegnitz, illuminated by the bright glow of the flames above the specially made cauldron. Images from the cult film ‘Die Feuerzangenbowle’ starring Heinz Rühmann are shown on screens around the wooden stalls. For many Nuremberg residents, enjoying a cup of Feuerzangenbowle with friends or family has become a firm tradition in the run-up to Christmas.

At one of Germany's oldest Christmas markets, traditional goods such as handmade Christmas decorations and culinary delicacies are still on sale in 180 wooden stalls on the main market square.
A Christmas town especially for children is set up on Hans-Sachs-Platz. The market of Nuremberg's 14 twin towns brings international flair to the Christkindlesmarkt. Nuremberg's churches and museums invite you to Christmas concerts, guided tours and exhibitions with a colourful programme.
