In the immediate vicinity of Rabenstein Castle is the entrance to an underground work of art of nature. The Sophienhöhle is one of the most beautiful stalactite caves in Germany. Impressive light installations in combination with the stalactites create a great atmosphere for your own explorations and various events. Twice a year, visitors to Rabenstein Castle embark on an exciting journey back in time to the Middle Ages. An extensive program is offered with jugglery, medieval field battles and show fights, puppet theater for children and a big fire show in the evening. Historical groups camp against the backdrop of the 800-year-old castle, merchants and craftsmen give insight into long extinct professions of the Middle Ages. Music is provided by various medieval groups. Of course, children and adults can also try their hand at these crafts, for example felting, forging and woodworking. The archery tournaments, where market visitors can prove themselves in archery, are also a special attraction for young and old. Further information

Falknerei - Burg Rabenstein
The falconry at Rabenstein Castle presents over 80 of the largest and most beautiful birds of prey in its beautifully situated owl and bird of prey park. During the daily flight demonstrations, spectators can see up to twelve different birds of prey flying and hunting. The animals often fly just a few centimetres above the heads of the enthusiastic spectators. A rare encounter between man and beast.
