The summer fair takes place in parking lot P1 in the Spitalviertel (Friedrich-Hörner-Weg). Visitors can relax in the beer garden with regional specialties and cool drinks. The Rothenburg Wine Village invites you on a culinary voyage of discovery. Popular as well as rather rare grape varieties are served around the Green Market and on the church square, in front of the venerable towers of St. Jakob. At the stands, dishes matching the wine served will be served, and a colorful program will provide varied entertainment.

The Imperial City Festival is one of the highlights of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The entire history of the town comes to life - brought to life by about a thousand participants. Already on Friday evening there is a big torchlight procession of the history groups to the market place.
Every year in springtime and autumn the hiking weeks in Rothenburg offer you active recovery in the midst of nature - from guided hiking tours up to a varied programme that really offers something for everyone. Each hike stands under an interesting topic and is accompanied by an experienced leader and commented with a lot of inside knowledge. By the way: the hikes are all free of charge!
Experience Jewish culture and history, enter into dialogue, get to know new things, learn exciting things, remember the past and encounter the present. ‘Le`Chajim - Auf das Leben!’, the Rothenburg Week of Jewish Culture, offers an extensive programme: lectures, films, excursions, concerts and workshops. Participants include Prof Dr Jan Philipp Reemtsma (Hamburg), the Nuremberg journalist and author Steffen Radlmaier, the academic director of the Alice Salomon Archive Prof Dr Sabine Toppe (Berlin) and the author Katja Hildebrand.
The week takes place every year around 22 October, a day of remembrance for the city's Jewish residents. Unless otherwise stated, the events are free of charge.
