Experimenta - Lern- und Erlebniswelt
The experimenta is the biggest science center in Southern Germany. It is said that the experimenta makes it possible to experience the fascination technics by combining exhibition and laboratories. The concept enables children and youth but also adults to get an insight into the wide areas of science. Moreover, the experimenta offers in addition to the current activities all-year series of lectures, workshops and shows about technical and scientific topics.
The science center can be found in Heilbronn directly at the river neckar, close to the inner city. The city parking garage with its 500 car parks is located in the opposite of the science center.

House of City History - Otto Rettenmaier House
The House of City History - Otto Rettenmaier House - is located in the building complex of the Deutschhof. It bears its name in honour of the achievements of the businessman with regard to the city archive. Under the title "Historical Heilbronn! People, places, stories", a multimedia time travel through 1200 years of city history from the first mention up to the becoming a modern big city is given. Thereby, history becomes an experience.

In the exhibition hall of the municipal museums of Heilbronn and the art association, which was designed by the Zurich architect Felipe Rodriguéz, these two traditional institutions have mergend into one location. Changing exhibitions are to be seen on three floors with over 800 m² space. Moreover, the Art Gallery Vogelmann is regularly the stage of a varied programme with guided tours, artist talks as well as workshops.

Städtische Museen im Deutschhof
The Municipal Museum in the "Deutschhof", which puts on top-class permanent and temporary exhibitions, also offers impressive guided tours and workshops. The archaeological collection of the Celts, Romans and Alemanns up to the Franconians in the Middle Ages is an interesting time trip. The museum also shows the art and sculpture collection of Henry Moore, Auguste Rodin and Carl Doerr. In this family- friendly museum you can celebrate birthdays and there are also special exhibitions and lectures.
