Heilbronn Wine Summer: Wine pavilion at the Neckar stage. The square at the Old Neckar near the Neckar stage is one of the most beautiful in the heart of Heilbronn. This is where you will find the wine pavilion of the Wein-Villa-Gesellschafter, where Heilbronn wines are served, complemented by Swabian tapas.
A little paradise on Wartberg hill. The businesses at the Wein Villa take turns serving drinks. In keeping with the tradition of a ‘Vespers am Wengert-Häusle’ (evening snack at the vineyard cottage), the winegrowers also offer a small snack of sausage in a bread roll. Sitting here at sunset with a view of the city and enjoying a glass of wine in the middle of the vineyards is like being in a little paradise!

Berlin artist Andrea Pichl will receive the Ernst Franz Vogelmann Prize for Sculpture in 2026. As the first prizewinner of GDR origin, her work addresses the transformation of public and private living spaces after reunification. Pichl examines architecture, social spaces and standardized building forms in a critical and multi-layered way. The artist will develop a special concept for her first solo exhibition in southern Germany, which will take place at the Kunsthalle Vogelmann Heilbronn.

With his distinctive visual style, Rodney Smith (1947–2016) ranks among the most significant photographers of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. The American photographer, a pupil of the pioneering photographer Walker Evans (1903–1975), gained renown primarily through his work for prestigious magazines and fashion publications; yet the artistic quality and originality of his work far exceed the standard of commissioned pieces.
Smith’s images radiate a poetic power that, through a harmonious blend of elegance, subtle humour and technical and compositional precision, transports the viewer into fascinating worlds lying between dream and reality. His photographs are often reminiscent of the enigmatic paintings of the Surrealist René Magritte. As a staunch advocate of black-and-white photography, Smith only discovered colour photography relatively late in his career, yet he demonstrated great mastery in his handling of light in this medium too.
