Experience eagles, vultures and other birds of prey live – the German Bird of Prey Centre at Guttenberg Castle makes it possible. Around 60 large birds of prey and owls live here, and flight demonstrations take place in all weathers. Interactive touchscreen stations and two display cases provide all kinds of interesting information about these fascinating birds, which fly directly over visitors' heads with a wingspan of up to two metres. The demonstrations take place twice a day from April to October.

‘Why were castles built?’ ‘What weapons did knights have?’ The Castle Museum answers these and other typical children's questions in its award-winning exhibition ‘Life in a Knight's Castle’. Vividly designed and peppered with many extraordinary exhibits, the show invites visitors on a journey of discovery into the past. Each of the five exhibition rooms represents a different century, always with a focus on the castle's inhabitants at that time against the backdrop of regional contemporary history. Visitors are taken on a breathtaking journey through time from the Middle Ages to the 19th century.
A visit to the museum without a guided tour takes around 30 to 45 minutes. Visitors can then climb the castle tower via the battlement and shield wall: two tower rooms lead to the viewing platform (around 10 minutes).
