Finally be a knight... In the new Abenberg Castle Museum, this dream comes true! Because here ‘1000 years of castle dreams’ come to life. The castle is full of secrets just waiting to be discovered. With their own key, visitors of all ages can explore the fascinating history of the castle, get to know past and present inhabitants in a virtual ancestral gallery and listen to medieval sounds.
At the same time, visitors can experience the connection between the castle's history and the town, the region and the world. They immerse themselves in a bygone era when real knights' tournaments took place at Abenberg Castle!

Are you ready to explore the castle and its most secret corners? Then this family tour is just the thing for you! Come along and discover the fascinating world of the Middle Ages and its hidden treasures. Whether you’re little knights or brave heroines – you’re guaranteed not to get bored.
A tour for all the senses, where children can learn interesting facts about the castle in a playful way, try on a knight’s helmet and chainmail in the castle museum, and even dig up a treasure!
Date: all year round on the last Sunday of the month, 3 pm
Duration: approx. 90 minutes
Cost: € 15 per family (2 adults, children); adults € 7
Admission to the castle museum is included in the price.

Abenberg: Naturbadeweiher
The Abenberg municipal natural swimming pond is located on the southern outskirts of Abenberg (towards Spalt) - right next to the motorhome parking area. The swimming pond is suitable for both swimmers and non-swimmers and is open to everyone.
In addition to the sunbathing area, there are toilet facilities, showers and changing rooms. The water quality is constantly monitored and meets the requirements for public swimming facilities.

Abenberg - Skate Park.
Abenberg: Skate-Anlage
The town of Abenberg has built a skate park on Asbacher Weg in Abenberg, on the edge of the ‘Im Brühl’ development area, for young skateboarding enthusiasts.
The skate park features practice and stunt features, pyramid corners, a table and curb, a quarter-pipe, a box, a Type III pyramid, a Type II rail, a banked quarter-pipe and a mini-pipe.
