When the palace garden awakens from winter, everything at Schwetzingen Palace revolves around artistic Easter eggs for a whole weekend. For the 37th time, artisans from the region and all over Europe will be exhibiting their filigree works in the North Circular Building. On March 22 and 23, visitors can discover the entire spectrum of Easter egg art - from classic to modern designs. With a great deal of skill, patience and creativity, simple eggs are transformed into impressive works of art.
The international festival for classical music awaits you from 22 March to 13 April 2025 with a challenging programme dedicated to one of Germany's most important composers: Johannes Brahms. The music festival will focus on the performance of his complete chamber music and solo piano works.

The Easter market, also known as the “Häferlesmarkt” on Nuremberg's main market square, is the oldest market in the city and a typical goods/craft market: around 100 stalls sell crockery, household goods, textiles, everyday items, as well as arts and crafts from Germany and abroad and, of course, Easter items. So if you're looking for inspiration for a pretty new Easter decoration, this is definitely the place to be and you're guaranteed to find what you're looking for.
The crib town Bamberg lives up to it's name with the passion crib exhibition in the Maternkapelle (chapel). In this Germany-wide probably unique special exhibition from the 12th to the 27th of April 2025 the society "Bamberger" Krippenfreunde" show the events around the suffering, death and resurrection of Christ. Other Passion cots can be found in other places in the city.
Colourful the decorated Easter fountains in Franconian Switzerland, where this custom has its roots, herlad springtime. Many busy hands decorate the round 200 fountains with carefully arranged Easter decorations. The number of the Easter eggs, that are used to the joy of the visitors, goes in the hundretthousands. The largest Easter fountain world-wide, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, with exactly 11,108 egg shells can be marvelled at in Egloffstein's district Bieberbach.
As part of the Easter program in the Kaiserpfalz, three special exhibitions will be shown from 11 to 27 April 2025: “Pensala and well cleaning - Easter customs in Franconian Switzerland”, a Passion Nativity scene exhibition and an Easter egg exhibition. An Easter egg market will take place on April 12 - 13 and from April 19 to 21, 2025.
The Bayreuth Easter Festival from April 29 to May 1, 2025 offers top-class musical enjoyment from classical music to jazz, performed by members of the International Young Orchestra Academy. More than 110 musicians from over 30 nations play in the international select orchestra. The motto of the festival is always “cultural enjoyment for a good cause”: the proceeds are donated to the International Young Orchestra Academy Cultural and Social Foundation, which helps to cure chronically ill and cancer-stricken children.
