For the 21st time, the castle festival will be celebrated at Guttenberg Castle high above the Neckar Valley on 9 and 10 June 2019. Knights from near and far are fighting on the Stauferburg, which has never been conquered before. In addition, the German Raptor Centre at the castle with its spectacular flight demonstrations with eagles, owls and vultures is an interesting destination for the Whitsun holidays. Admission to the Greifenwarte is reduced for castle festival visitors on both Whitsun days.
The salters ("Salzsieder") celebrate their traditional Cake and Source Festival again in Schwäbisch Hall over the Pentecost holidays from the 7th to the 10st of June 2019. For centuries they have produced the "white gold of the Middle Ages". The festival, which is handed-down since the 14th century, is one of the most beautiful folk festivals with more than 500 actors and helpers in the country today. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday you can see, how salt has been made in the past in the salter cabin behind the "Hällisch-Fränkisches Museum".
Anually at Pentecost, the historical festival "The Master Draught" ("Der Meistertrunk") in Rothenburg ob der Tauber carries you off into the time of the Thirty Years War. Together with historical craftsmen and salesmen markets, a plundering bunch in the Old Town, and the historical army it takes care of a medieval experience on these four days - 7th to 10th of June 2019.

This year, the Thuringian Castle Days on the Whitsun weekend are held under the motto "Built! Foundations of Power". From 7 to 10 June 2019, the German Castle Museum on the Veste Heldburg will be offering the exhibition "Stone on Stone.
