High above the Neckar Valley, surrounded by vineyards, Hornberg Castle rises as a proud knight's castle from the 11th century, which once had been owned by Götz von Berlichingen, known as the knight with the iron hand.
The castle has been in the possession of the Gemmingen-Hornberg family for more than 400 years. Today they present themselves as hosts in their hotel with heart and soul. The four-star-hotel offers the comfort of exclusive hotel rooms in the security of the old castle walls to guests, who want to enjoy the singularity of Hornberg Castle more extensively.
There are 26 double rooms, four single rooms and a junior suite. The rooms in the main residence offer a partial view over the Neckar Valley, in the former sheep pen they have a balcony with forest view. Different function rooms build the atmospheric frame for a successful festivity.
Due to the successfull combination of quality and tradition, the hotel-restaurant is the ideal address for conferences, family celebrations, anniversaries, corporate parties, receptions and weddings. In close proximity to the castle, there is a romantic chapel in the forest.
